Chris Pickles

Chris Pickles directed the UK tour of The King and I and re-directed the West End production of Taboo. He was Associate Producer/Director with Renaissance Theatre Company where productions included Uncle Vanya and Coriolanus, and films included Much Ado About Nothing, Peter’s Friends and Swan Song. Recent work includes critically acclaimed productions for Oxford Shakespeare Company of The Winter’s Tale, The Comedy of Errors, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Macbeth (400th anniversary production in the Great Hall at Hampton Court Palace), The Taming of the Shrew and The Importance of Being Earnest. For Classical Acting Company, Dallas he directed Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare’s Keeper. Other productions as writer/director include The Silent Treatment (Finborough), A Christmas Carol (Shaw) and Treasure Island (King’s Head).

Matthew Gray moved to Dallas, Texas in 2002 to start Classical Acting Company and successfully produced four seasons of classical theatre for the Dallas area including Much Ado About Nothing, All My Sons, A Flea in Her Ear, The Cherry Orchard, Shakespeare’s Keeper, No Exit and Huck Finn. Matthew recently appeared in The Dallas Theater Center’s production of A Christmas Carol and he’s just been named a member of their resident acting company for the 2008/09 season. Other shows for Dallas Theater Center include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Taming of the shrew, Glengarry, Glen Ross and The Misanthrope.
